Elbele Tour - Trekking Routes Folgaria

Èlbele is the mountainous, wooded area, located near Carbonare. It is called 'small alpine' meaning 'grazing area' or 'altitude'. The north side faces the high valley of the Centa while the south side faces the wide grassy pasture known as Langenbisen (long meadows). It is covered with cedar wood, predominantly beech and hornbeam, mixed with resinous red and larch fir trees. It is the backdrop of the high wall of the Vigolana and of the Filadonna.

It is not the height of the Shelter, with its pond, its forests, and meadows the most element of the path. Of note is the Command of Virti, the goal of the walk, that is, the remains of the command station that during the Great War (1914-1918) was set up in a deep natural stream. The place, surrounded by silence, is of great beauty. Rock shelter can also be visited.
